About 25 online study hours

All three: $1,000 online tuition · About 110 online study hours. In-person tuition, hours and outside fees are additional.

Availability

All three online cohorts are coming soon and remain in development. New cohort enrollment and payments are closed. Reading these terms or requesting updates does not reserve a seat, create enrollment, collect payment or provide immediate course access. ASALT will confirm availability and the applicable agreement before any future enrollment.

Tuition and separate costs

Planned one-time online tuition is $500 for RECOGNIZE, $250 for DEFEND and $250 for TREAT: $1,000 for all three online cohorts. Required in-person classes, range work, provider certification and stated outside fees are additional. The $250 DEFEND or TREAT purchase is the online cohort price, including when added to in-person training. It is not a second activation fee: the same cohort does not have to be purchased twice. RECOGNIZE includes no in-person classes and does not activate the upgraded Instructor Guarantee or add investigative-support hours on its own.

How you learn

All three cohorts use planned self-paced narration with follow-along text, selected scenario illustrations and guided written activities. They include textbook, handbook/workbook and textbook activities. RECOGNIZE is standalone online study. DEFEND and TREAT may be taken online on their own or combined with their required in-person classes, in either order. New offers do not promise a completed future video edition.

Estimated study time

Estimated online study is about 55 hours for RECOGNIZE, 30 for DEFEND and 25 for TREAT, approximately 110 hours combined. These estimates include lessons, textbook reading, workbook/handbook and textbook activities, and assessments. Live-class hours are additional. These are planning estimates, not measured narration runtimes, accredited/contact hours or certification credit; individual completion time varies and estimates may change before launch.

Access and updates

DEFEND and TREAT include 24 months of online presentation, PDF and cohort access from the purchase date, after which that access expires. RECOGNIZE includes lifetime ongoing access; when a section is updated, buyers receive a notification identifying what changed and what to listen to again or review. These are online-access periods, not extensions of provider credentials, permits or separate renewal requirements. Access does not include unpurchased cohorts or in-person tuition. Existing signed agreements, including applicable founding and video benefits, remain in effect.

When upgraded benefits apply

Upgraded Instructor Guarantee benefits are available only after completing DEFEND or TREAT online, its required work and assessments, and every required in-person class for that same subject, with instructor verification and written confirmation. DEFEND requires Basic Pistol, CCW/CHP, FSP and Advanced Carry. TREAT requires Stop the Bleed and CPR. The online and in-person parts may be completed in either order. Purchase alone, one live class or online-only completion does not activate these benefits. RECOGNIZE alone does not qualify.

Investigative support

The current upgraded offer provides up to 8 hours of investigative support per qualifying course, subject to applicable completion, instructor verification, acceptance, conflict review, attorney acceptance and a written scope. Each qualifying course and any aggregate limit must be confirmed in approved written participation terms before support begins; completing multiple classes does not automatically multiply the allowance. The approved allowance is shared across accepted matters and does not renew with each incident; unused approved hours carry forward. ASALT gives advance notice before the applicable allowance is exhausted, and extra work requires an agreed rate and written approval. Investigative support is provided through InquiriPro LLC; included hours carry no added professional fee or second professional-fee retainer. Approved outside expenses remain separate. Unused support hours have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded. Basic factual training-record support remains included with every ASALT class. Neither basic nor upgraded support promises legal representation, immunity, legal outcomes or future student conduct. Existing contractual commitments remain in effect.

In-person savings and referrals

After qualifying for the upgraded benefits, receive 50% off ASALT tuition only when repeating or renewing the same in-person class already completed. Range, certification and other outside fees remain separate. Refer another person for 10% off an eligible ASALT in-person class; the referrer earns 10% of the net amount received after the discount and fees, under written participation terms. Referral earnings may be received as cash or applied toward eligible in-person training. No discounts or referral benefit apply to RECOGNIZE or the $250 DEFEND/TREAT online cohorts or upgrades. These are not discounts on a different cohort or the next training purchase. Confirm eligibility and the applicable price with ASALT before payment. Existing signed benefits are preserved.

Earning the Responder designation

I understand that “ASALT Responder” is a private training recognition designation issued by Active Save-A-Life Training. To earn it, I must complete RECOGNIZE, DEFEND and TREAT, every required in-person class, required study and provider work, the portfolio, final integration and capstone, the comprehensive written exam, and the hands-on skills test. Buying all three online cohorts is not complete-program tuition or automatic completion. Provider credentials and government permits are separate. The designation is not a government license, public-safety credential, medical license, security license, law-enforcement credential, or authorization to act outside applicable law.

Payment and refund terms

I understand and agree to the applicable cancellation, refund, missed-class, late-arrival, no-show, transfer, credit and no-proration policies provided with my enrollment agreement and class-specific registration terms. Online tuition and separately purchased in-person classes must be identified separately; the current offer does not promise an upfront full-program package discount. Existing signed payment and refund commitments remain in effect.

Safety, participation and status conditions

These existing acknowledgments also apply. Class-specific documents and provider requirements remain separate.
